Playa de Torre del Mar is about a 20-25 minute drive away and has a long promenade with restaurants and playgrounds.

Visit the large shopping center Centro Comercial El Ingenio in Vélez-Málaga. Here you'll find many well-known shops, a supermarket, and restaurants.

Stroll through the center of Nerja, where you'll find many small boutiques with clothing, jewelry, and souvenirs.

Torre del Mar hosts a large market every Thursday where you can buy clothes, local products, and accessories.

For food lovers

If you're staying in La Viñuela, there are a few restaurants that almost everyone recommends. Restaurante El Pantano, for example, is located right on the Embalse de La Viñuela lake. Many guests come here for the beautiful waterfront views and the generous portions of meat and fish dishes. Also popular is Restaurante El Horno, a cozy restaurant in the village known for its excellent service and combination of Spanish and international dishes.

About a 15-minute drive away is Vélez-Málaga, a city with many local eateries. One of the best-known is La Gamba Dorada, famous for its fresh fish and seafood from the region. Taberna Cruza la Calle is also very popular; this modern tapas bar is located in the town center and is known for its creative tapas and cozy atmosphere, frequented by locals.

For a day at the beach, many visitors head to Torre del Mar, about a 20-minute drive away. On the boulevard lies Bahia Beach Jazba, a trendy beach club where you can eat, drink cocktails, and enjoy the sea view. Safari Lounge is also popular; this beach bar is known for its relaxed atmosphere, good music, and perfect spot to watch the sunset. These spots offer a nice mix of local Andalusian cuisine, beach restaurants, and cozy tapas bars nearby.
